Kat Daaca - Baybayin Baby
Kat Daaca is a Baybayin educator, artist, and revivalist.
Her work embodies an intuitive approach to Baybayin—one where she guides participants in the remembrance of sacred knowledge. Her teaching of Baybayin attunes us to ancient ways of being, expressing, and connecting with one another. Remembrance and connection are at the core of her work. Her workshops leave participants feeling held, refreshed, and longing for more opportunities to connect to a re-awakened self.
Since launching her workshop series in 2022, Kat has:
Partnered with 22 organizations to bring Baybayin to new spaces
Led 46 workshops across Canada, the U.S., and online
Taught over 500 community members in reclaiming their heritage through Baybayin
